Graphics
A few of VB's graphic controls include, the Picture Box, the Image Box, the Line control, and of coarse the Shapes control.
The Picture Box
The Picture Box control is what it says, all it does is show a picture on the form.
Picture box properties
| AutoSize | When true it resizes the Picture box to fit the picture |
| Picture | Add a picture to your project |
Note: You can load pictures at run time like so "Picture1.Picture = LoadPicture("C:\main.bmp")" cool eh?
The Image Control
The Image control, unlike the picture box, can stretch. Meaning you can literally stretch it out and it gets bigger, or make it smaller.
Image Control Properties:
| Picture | Add a picture to your project |
| Stretch | If set to true you can stretch your image out from its original size |
The Line & Shapes controls
| Line | Simple line you can draw on your form |
| Rectangle | Rectangle you can put on your form |
| Square | Square you can put on your form |
| Oval | Oval you can put on your form |
| Circle | Circle you can put on your form |
| Rounded Rectangle | Rounded rectangle you can put on your form |
| Rounded Square | Rounded Square you can put on your form |
Image Control Properties:
| Picture | Add a picture to your project |
| Stretch | If set to true you can stretch your image out from its original size |
Line Properties
| BorderStyle | Changes its look |
| BorderWidth | Changes its width |
Shape Properties
| BackStyle | Determines if it's transparent or not |
| BorderWidth | Changes its width |
| FillStyle | Determines how it's filled |
